You can browse through of all the brochures. You can surf through our awesome website. You can talk to your best friend’s sister’s roommate’s cousin who is a UNA sophomore. You might even choose to watch the Lions win a football game on TV. But nothing can really let you know what the University of North Alabama is like except, well, YOU! Consider this your invitation to come tour our beautiful campus and create your own UNA experience. Thank you so much for your interest in UNA and we look forward to your visit!


INDIVIDUAL/FAMILY TOURS

Bring the family, bring the buddies, or just bring yourself! We offer individual or family tours Monday through Friday, usually each hour from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., Central Standard Time. Our campus tours are guided by members of the LaGrange Society, select students who serve as the official hosts and hostesses of the University. You will take a walking tour of our campus followed by an optional tour of the residence halls and a meeting with an Admissions Counselor, either of which can be scheduled separately. We also offer the occasional Saturday tour.

ABOUT THE TOUR:

  • Tours are given only when classes are in session. Check the Academic Calendar for more details.
  • Campus tours are approximately 45 minutes. Residential tours are approximately 30 minutes. Admission Counselor appointments are approximately 20 minutes.
  • SATURDAY TOUR DATES: September 19, October 17, November 7 (Preview Day), and December 5
  • This is a walking tour. Arrangements can be made for handicapped visitors by scheduling your tour a week in advance.
  • We do tour in the rain, but not during thunderstorms. You can check the weather in our area on www.weather.com/ and entering zip code 35630.
  • You may park in visitor parking beside Coby Hall or in Visitor Parking at the Harrison Entrance of campus.
  • If you would like to tour the residence halls only, a tour of them can be made separately by calling the Office of Residence Life at 1-800-TALK-UNA, ext. 5558, or 256-765-5558.

GROUP TOURS

Group tours must be scheduled by phone at least one week in advance. As a general rule, we do not tour elementary school children. Our tours are geared towards high school and college transfer students. You can arrange for a campus and residential hall tour, with or without a presentation by the Office of Admissions. Please call our office at 1-800-TALK-UNA, ext. 4608, or 256-765-4608, to schedule a tour. We will need the following information when you call:

  • Preferred date and time
  • Number of students and chaperones
  • Number of buses
  • Grade level
  • Sites of interest
  • Purpose of the tour
  • Contact name and phone number
