CharlottesvilleVirginia Saturday, June 14, 2008 Come join the fun with the Virginia Alumni Chapter! Free Food, Fellowship, Fun! That was a great part of the traditions at UNA, so why not join your old friends and make some new ones! We are coming to Charlottesville for the Festival of the Photograph and are providing an opportunity to meet you and have lunch with you.
Please
join us for the afternoon.
We would like to meet you and find out more about
you, your family, your work, and your interests. The festival was founded by National Geographic photographer and UNA Alumni Michael "Nick" Nichols ’78. Designated LOOK3, the Festival is a not-for-profit celebration of photography and attracts professionals from around the world to Charlottesville’s picturesque historic downtown. Visit the event online at www.festivalofthephotograph.org/2008/. Hopefully Nick will find a time to come by our lunch meeting to offer you an official welcome to the event. The festival takes place all week and concludes on Saturday. Please check out the schedule on-line. UNA is assisting with scholarships for five current student photographers to attend. The official university photographer, Shannon Wells, will also participate in the week long workshops affiliated with the festival. I anticipate bringing several staff members from the Advancement Office. We are going to feature the Virginia Alumni Chapter meeting and the festival in the next issue of the UNA Magazine. |
