I
am honored and proud to serve as your 2007-2008 National Alumni
President. Serving
with the executive Board and the Board-at-Large this past year
has been a great pleasure.
This group of volunteers has worked diligently to support
our alumni, students, and the University.
We hope to continue the work of our past presidents and
make this coming year even more fun and exciting.
We encourage you to keep in touch with the events on
campus and with the Alumni Association by reading the monthly
Lion Pride Alumni E-Letter and the three UNA magazines that will
be published this year.
Check out the University web page at
una.edu, which has a quick link to your Alumni Association.
Also, keep an eye on the calendar of events published in
the TimesDaily.
There is a wide variety of activities which you are encouraged
to participate in throughout the year.
We also encourage you to visit Rogers Hall, your new
Alumni House. With
the renovation completed, it is one of the most beautiful
buildings on the campus.
You are always welcome to visit it.
I like to invite my family and out-of-town guests to take
a walk through the campus and, of course, to visit with Leo and
Una, our lion mascots. Family and friends are always in awe of
the campus and the lions.
Last year was an
exciting time for students and alumni with the many activities
taking place on Spirit Hill. The NAA tent is a good place to
meet old friends and make new ones.
We will be looking for you and promise you lots of
excitement, food, and fellowship.
We hope you will attend athletic events this year and
bring your family and friends.
You are the best ambassadors the University can possibly
have when it comes to recruiting new students and supporting the
University, both financially and by boosting morale.
Your Alumni Association needs your presence at the
various activities, and it needs your financial support.
Your contributions make it possible for us to continue
providing NAA scholarships and to sponsor other events.
Please give generously. We thank you in advance for your
gifts of time and money.
Go, Lions!!!
