Materials and Methods
Dr. Suzanne Duvall-Zurinsky has been part of the UNA Department of Art faculty since 1997. She holds a Ph.D. and M.A. from the University of Mississippi; and a B.F.A. from Mississippi University for Women. Dr. Duvall studied French at the Sorbonne and has traveled abroad extensively. She has represented UNA on the Alabama Articulation and General Studies Committee (Art and Art History) since 1998. Dr. Duvall has been a member of Phi Kappa Phi since 1991, and has served as a cover artist for the National Forum magazine. She presents her research in special needs art education for students with autism nationally and internationally and was recently published in the book Understanding Students with Autism through Art, edited by Drs. Gerber and Kellman (2010). Active in the National Art Education Association, Dr. Duvall shares her passion for art with students in her art appreciation and teaching methodology courses at UNA.
