Art Gallery
The University Art Gallery provides a venue for the exhibition of significant artistic presentations by nationally and regionally recognized artists. By means of lectures and interactive gallery talks, art majors, non-majors, and community members are exposed to and enriched by contact with contemporary art and artists. The Student Art Gallery provides an additional area for student exhibitions. Solo exhibitions, the Lights and Shadows juried competition, and class projects can be enjoyed here.
The Art and English Departments at the University of North Alabama annually collaborate and co-sponsor Lights and Shadows, an award winning art and literary magazine. Adding to its already prestigious award history, the 2008 Lights and Shadows has received the second prize in the Southern Collegiate Literary Press competition.
