Campaign Manager School
The Leadership Institute in Arlington, Virginia has a campaign manager school on the 2nd week of Febuary. I am interested in going, but would like others to come with me. The seminar is excellent, according to what I've heard from a friend that just attended one. The website is

RE: Parker Griffith Joining the GOP

I commend his courage of convictions. The decision to leave the current majority is not easy. Normally, members leave the minority party to join the majority. I went by his local field office today to inform his staff I welcome him to the party and will support his efforts while in Congress. As for the primary, I'll wait to see how he does between now and the primary. Both national parties have wondered for some time why this district never went for the GOP even though all the indicators pointed in that direction. In the few contested races for this seat it has typically been the Shoals labor vote that made the difference in the outcome. While his decision will be seen as minor and insignificant by the national media and the Dems, it does point toward a possible trend of frustration and possible realignment for 2010.
