Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS)

The University of North Alabama is a certified testing center for the Microsoft Office Specialist credential. This is a nationally recognized certification.

The University of North Alabama is pleased to announce that we are now an official testing center for the Microsoft Office Specialist exams. Exams are being offered for the Office 2010 family of products. Exam vouchers can be purchased for $109 with one retake. Exams may be scheduled by calling 256-765-4289.

The Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) credential validates skills in using the 2010 Microsoft Office system meeting the demand for the most up-to-date skills on the latest Microsoft technologies.

Candidates who successfully complete the program by passing a certification exam show that they can meet globally recognized performance standards.

Candidates must pass one certification exam in order to earn the MOS credential.

Exams Available:

  • MOS: Microsoft Office Word 2010 or Expert 2010
  • MOS: Microsoft Office Excel 2010 or Expert 2010
  • MOS: Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2010
  • MOS: Microsoft Office Outlook 2010
  • MOS: Microsoft Office Access 2010

In addition, you may earn the Microsoft Office 2010 Master certification by passing the following MOS exams:

  • MOS: Microsoft Office Word Expert 2010
  • MOS: Microsoft Office Excel Expert 2010
  • MOS: Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2010
  • MOS: Microsoft Office Outlook 2010 OR MOS: Microsoft Office Access 2010

UNA Offers Microsoft Office Certificate!

Earn a 36 hour UNA Certificate in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access when you attend all three classes in the program. A quiz is required after completion of each course. Call or email Meghan Fike at 256-765-4289 or mmfike@una.edu for more information.

The UNA Microsoft Word and Excel Certificates are approved training programs through the Alabama Workforce Investment Act.
