Corporate & Foundation Relations

Mission Statement

Mission Statement

Corporate and Foundation Relations builds mutually- beneficial relationships between the University of North Alabama and the public, private and voluntary sectors to advance the teaching, research and service mission of our University.

Whether the organization is a large, global company or local area family-owned business, or a large, community foundation or small, private family or independent foundation, UNA desires diverse partnerships that align our strategic initiatives with each individual organization’s interests and priorities. These alliances form a powerful base which has the ability to propel the University’s level of excellence in teaching, research and service. Financial support and internship opportunities are afforded students, research and development are forged to greater heights, and organizations benefit from marketing, securing interns, recruiting future employees, and educational opportunities.

The University of North Alabama advocates a campus-wide corporate relations model which seeks to involve a variety of stakeholders. Corporate and Foundations Relations primary functions include:

  • Assisting the Office of the President and Academic Deans in securing funding and developing corporate, foundation, and government giving strategies that support the University and its priorities;
  • Identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding foundations, corporations, and government agencies that may, or already do, support the University of North Alabama;
  • Assisting university administrators and faculty pursuing grants by matching their funding needs with those of corporate or foundation funders;
  • Collaborating with the Offices of Academic Services, Athletics, Career Planning and Development, and Continuing Studies and Outreach in the promotion and facilitation of mutually beneficial corporate relationships.
