English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)
ESOL Alternative Class A Option
The Alternative Class A Option is designed for candidates who hold a baccalaureate degree in any field.
Prerequisites
1. ED 401, ED 382, ED 480W
2. Bachelor's degree in any field
3. Appropriate score(s) on MAT, GRE, or Praxis
4. Baccalaureate degree with
a minimum 2.50 GPA (unrounded) in any
field.
5. Undergraduate major in a
related field (English/Language Arts or
Foreign Language) or passing score on ESOL Praxis.
Both the Traditional Class A and the Alternative Class A Options lead to P-12 certification in ESOL.
