Endowed Scholarships for Biology/physical science Majors

Beta Beta Beta.   Biology major or minor; member of Beta Zeta chapter of Beta Beta Beta; overall GPA of 2.5 on 4.0 scale; 3.0 on 4.0 scale in biology courses; transfers eligible after completing 6 hours of biology courses at UNA; applications available in Biology Department; due in September for fall, February for spring.

John W Holland, Jr.  Full-time Biology majors holding regular membership in Beta Beta Beta at UNA.  Nominees selected by the Department of Biology.

Francie Martin. First priority will be given to students majoring in Biology, Physics or Earth Science, who are graduates of Florence High School or Brooks High School; second priority is given to students who are graduates of another high school in Lauderdale County. Selected by a committee appointed by the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences in consultation with the Office of Student Financial Services.

James H. Tanner Memorial Fund.   Awarded to deserving student athlete who is no longer eligible for athletic scholarships.  Second preference:  Biology, Chemistry or Physics major. 

 

Not all endowed scholarships are awarded each year. ___________________________________________  

Dollar amounts of endowed scholarships vary, depending on 

availability of funds.
