Dr. Keith Lindley Leads a Group of Nineteen Students and Community Members to Paris
A group of nineteen students and community members toured Paris from March 19th to the 28th under the leadership of Dr. Keith Lindley. Some students opted to earn academic credit for the trip by signing up for IE 499 Intercultural Experience and FL 490 Culture and Civilization of Paris. The FL 490 course met both before and after the trip for a series of readings, lectures and tests on the history of Paris and its vibrant culture. In Paris, the group visited major historic and cultural sites, such as the Louvre, the Arc de Triomphe, the Eiffel Tower, the Musée Carnavalet (the Museum of the History of Paris), and Versailles. Students experienced Parisian cuisine and nightlife, and became experts on navigating the Métro by the end of their stay.
