A Guide to UNA's Graphic Standards
he primary university logo (or shield logo) derives directly from the visual landscape of campus. The two main elements are a lion standing on all four feet, facing left, on a shield-shaped background. If you look closely, you’ll notice the shield is an inverted silhouette of the doorway of Wesleyan Hall.
Several versions of the primary logo exist: single-color purple, single-color gold, two-color, white-bordered and white-bordered with drop-shadow. The single-colored logo is preferred for most print publications. The logo with white border is used sparingly – usually for decorative items using darker colors, such as the university’s official banners or table displays. The white-bordered logo with drop-shadow is reserved exclusively for on-screen usage, such as Web pages and e-mails; it is not intended for use in printed materials. The single-color gold logo is used strictly for purple apparel.
