Commercial Music
The commercial music major at UNA. It’s one of the oldest music-industry programs in the country. It’s helped create leading music publishers, engineers and executives. It’s graduated top performers, record producers and hit songwriters.
Now, through the new Commercial Music Endowed Scholarship, it can open even more music-industry doors for students who, without it, may not have the opportunity for a college education.
All proceeds from the auction of these two custom UNA guitars will support the Commercial Music Endowed Scholarship and the Brian Vick/Jonathan Parks/Michael McCarthy Scholarship.
Introducing... THE LION GUITAR
There will be only two of them in the world. The question is, who will play them?
DHR Music Experience and Benedetto Guitars are teaming up to build two custom-made UNA signature guitars. Both of which will be auctioned, with all proceeds going to benefit the University of North Alabama Commercial Music Endowed Scholarship.
DHR, one of the world’s leading guitar distributors and a premier dealer of left-handed guitars, is represented by Dillon Hodges, a UNA sophomore and one of the world’s leading flat-picking guitarists. Dillon also endorses Benedetto archtop guitars and electric guitars.
The two UNA signature guitars will soon be auctioned online at this website. The auction will go through midnight November 11, with the winner being announced at a special benefit concert with Mac McAnally November 12.
