Research, Teaching and Other Interests:

  • Dr. Fitzsimmons is currently researching how a merger of Frankfurt School Critical Theory and Deweyan political philosophy can produce a pragmatic Critical Theory.
  • His dissertation is titled: John Dewey as Critical Philosopher (Vanderbilt University, 2004).
