University Honors Program

Honors Program Scholarships

All students in the Program receive an Honors scholarship based on class standing.

Renewal of the scholarship is contingent each semester on academic eligibility and participation in Program activities.

Honors Program scholarships are "stackable" with other University and non-University scholarships and financial aid.

Scholarship Levels

Students in the first and second year of the Program receive a renewable scholarship of at least $300 per semester.

Students in the third and fourth year of the Program receive a renewable scholarship of at least $600 a semester.

International Baccalaureate Scholarships

IB Diploma and Certificate recipients are strongly encouraged to apply. Special scholarships are available. Please contact the Director for details.

The Delores and Weldon Cole Honors Scholarships

Made possible by a generous gift from Delores and Weldon Cole (Class of 1960), these scholarships are available to current and prospective Honors Program students who demonstrate the highest levels of achievement. Students need only apply to the Honors Program to be considered for these awards.

The Virginia Bayless O'Connell Honors Scholarships

Named for Class of 1932 UNA alumna Virginia Bayless O'Connell, O'Connell Scholars are chosen from Honors Program applicants who demonstrate the highest levels of achievement. Students need only apply to the Honors Program to be considered for these awards.

Out of State Tuition Waivers

The Honors Program awards waivers of the out of state portion of tuition. These scholarships are competitively awarded. All out of state students who reside beyond the in state tuition areas are automatically considered for this award.

Study Abroad Scholarships

The Honors Program offers financial assistance to any student who studies abroad. Please contact the Director for more details.
