Courses in the UNA Honors Program
Our philosophy:
While faculty who teach in the Honors Program come from a variety of different backgrounds and employ a range of pedagogical approaches, Honors courses at UNA do share some common characteristics.

Regular reading and writing assignments are a part of every Honors course

The format of Honors courses allows for student participation, whether that be in the form of discussion, presentations, group work or other means

The structure of the course content provides for some understanding of how knowledge is generated in that discipline

Whenever possible and appropriate, interdisciplinary models are employed, with course material related to activity and knowledge derived from other disciplines
