Interest, Research & Teaching Fields:
- Provided numerous opportunities for consulting, presenting Intercultural Communication Workshops on cultural adjustment, entry and reentry (professional reintegration), and presenting papers at conferences.
- Received a U.S. Department of Education Fulbright-Hays Grant for an educational project in the People’s Republic of China, Summer 1988.
- Awarded American Express financial Award for outstanding international youth exchange between Texas and five states in Mexico.
- Received grants from various government-sponsored projects (Bahrain, Venezuela, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Qatar, Algeria).
- Coauthor of Looking Forward/Looking Backward: The Cultural Adaptation of International Students. Lubbock, Texas: Texas Tech University Press, October 1986; with Bennett, W.F. (eds.).
