International Education Week

In observance of International Education Week 2011, 2012 2013 the University offered the following a full week of events. To see images from these weeks visit our Facebook page!

Our staff and students plan the events and want the campus and community to be involved. UNA Office of International Affairs and Student Engagement are pleased to offer the week of admission free events. Both domestic and international students who are interested in participating and/or representing their home country should come to the Office of International Affairs to sign-up.

The events for November 12 - 16, 2013 were as follows:

Monday -

Belly Dance Lessons presented by UPC in the GUC Banquet Hall 6-8pm

Tuesday -

  • Vietnamese and Chinese Students cultural displays GUC Atrium 10am - 2pm
  • "Crossing Borders" International Movie Screening Screening Room, Communications Building 6 - 9pm

Wednesday -

  • Saudi Arabian Students Organization cultural display GUC Atrium 10am - 2pm
  • Study Abroad Forums 2 - 3:30pm (location TBD)
  • Roll Your Own - Sushi Seminar sponsored by UPC and JUMP Stone Lodge 

Thursday -

  • Japanese Students Organization (JUMP) cultural display GUC Atrium10am - 2pm
  • Passport to the World Performances Rehearsal GUC Loft 4:30 - 6pm

Friday -

  • Korean Students cultural display GUC Atrium
  • International Navigators share their culture with Florence City School Children - Forest Hills Elementary 
  • 6-8:30pm Passport to the World GUC Banquet Halls
  • 8:30-9:30pm Taste the World GUC Atrium
  • 9-11pm Dance with the World GUC Atrium
