Mrs. Kathy Atkins
I am very pleased and honored to serve as Kilby's school counselor. As a school counselor, I get the opportunity and joy to both teach and guide young people. My under graduate work in the area of special education was completed in 1986 at the University of South Alabama in Mobile. I taught special education for fourteen years in Tallassee, Selma, Baldwin County, and Dothan Alabama. I received my Master's degree in psychology and school counseling from Troy University at Dothan in 1992. In 1998, I began my career over as a school counselor in Eufaula, Alabama.
My husband, Gary, and I have been married for 35 years and have two sons and five grandchildren. I enjoy spending time with all of them. One of my favorite activities is fishing and the Shoals area is perfect for that.
