I was born and raised in Central Mississippi where I graduated valedictorian of my high school class. After that I attended Ridgeland Community College and later worked as a legal secretary. Since that time, my family and I moved to this area and have been located in the Shoals for the past 20 years. My husband and I have three children Tara, Casey, and Mary-Katherine. My oldest daughter, Tara, has three boys: Mikey, Mathew, and Mark who attend Cherokee Elementary School. My middle child, Casey, had his first son in April of last year. Aidan Dred is the newest addition to our family. My youngest child, Mary-Katherine, is a college student pursuing a nursing degree. My husband and son are both farriers, and we live in the country on a horse farm where we enjoy the great outdoors. We love horseback riding and camping as well. Each year as a family, we enjoy attending and being involved with the St. Jude Trail Ride in our area. Other hobbies I enjoy include cooking, reading, and sewing. I returned to school as a nontraditional student and finished my Bachelor’s degree in 2000 and Master’s degree in 2007 at UNA with honors. In addition, I have recently served as adjunct faculty at UNA. This is my 11th year as Resource Teacher at Kilby School teaching exceptional children and I love it!
