UNA supports an active Greek system. It includes eight fraternities
and seven sororities, and features a fraternity row and a Brand New
Panhellenic residence for sororities. Through Greek life, you may
experience close bonds of brotherhood and sisterhood that tie chapters
together at UNA and throughout the world.
Leadership
At the University of North Alabama you experience a wide variety of
leadership opportunities individually and through student organizations.
Leadership UNA and the Lead Team will give you the kind of training

The SGA Senate allows students to represent their fellow students
in providing services and making recommendations to the administration
for the benefit of the students and university. Second, the Senate
provides students with challenging opportunities for developing organizational
and leadership skills.

Entertainment helps round out campus life. Extracurricular activities
include concerts, dances, lectures, movies, comedians, and other live
performances. Students not only have the opportunity to participate
in these extracurricular activities, but to plan and organize future
entertainment.

On UNA’s campus there are over 100 student organizations to
meet every student’s needs by providing learning opportunities
for students in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service, departmental
and professional interests and social organizations.

UNA is concerned with maintaining an environment in which the rights
of all members of the campus community are protected while they pursue
their educational objectives. It is important that each student become
aware of and abide by the Code of Conduct and other University regulations.
Students are obligated at all times to assume responsibility for their
actions, to respect constituted authority, to be truthful, to respect
the rights of others, and to respect private and public property.
It is also important that members of the University community be willing
to confront violations and the infringement of another’s rights
personally or by filing complaints with Public Safety, the Student
Life Office, or Housing and Residence Life as provided by the Vice
President for Student Affairs and University Council. The Director
of Student Life and/or designees determines the policy violations
as they relate to overall campus violations and the Director of Housing
and Residence Life and/or designees determines the policy violations
as they relate to on-campus housing violations.

The new SRC offers a variety of programs and fitness opportunities
and space for general recreation on a variety of courts, weight training,
cardiovascular training, and aerobic dance and activities.
