Math and CS Resources & Facilities
The UNA Mathematics and Computer Science Department is located in the Mathematics Building (MAB in University Course Listings), which is behind Wesleyan Hall on the campus. The building houses classrooms, offices and labs. There are seven classrooms, all of which have multimedia capability. One classroom is configured for computer science instruction with 18 PC's arranged on custom designed desks. One classroom is configured as a Hardware/Networking Lab. There are seventeen faculty and staff offices, two multi-purpose rooms, a 'break' room and an open computer lab.
The computer lab is equipped with 32 PC's, all of which are Internet-connected and which have installed a variety of software packages for instructional use. Each faculty and staff office also has an Internet-connected PC. There are several other computers in the department for particular class use and for special projects. There is also a network server for the department to provide services to the office and lab machines.
