MBA Accounting Concentration
click here for more information about the on-campus Accounting concentrationThe Accounting MBA Program at the University of North Alabama is designed to provide individuals with the professional skills and business knowledge essential for success in contemporary professional accounting and business careers. Most states, including Alabama, require 150 semester hours of education before one can sit for the CPA exam. The UNA Accounting MBA Program provides the remaining courses required for the CPA exam for students who have the equivalent of a bachelor's degree in accounting.
MBA Finance Concentration
The ability to analyze and interpret financial statements is essential for today's managers. The MBA Concentration in Finance prepares current and future managers to use financial statement data to make effective business decisions. For practitioners in the financial services industries, the Finance Concentration helps refine the skills necessary for career advancement.
- Complete the nine required core courses, and
- Select three electives from among: FI 563, FI 581, FI 631*, FI 635*, FI 681, FI 688.
*One additional prerequisite is required.
MBA Health Care Management Concentration

MBA Information Systems Concentration
The MBA Information Systems concentration focuses on the development of systems that will improve the performance of people in organizations. Accurate data retrieved in a timely manner is vital to problem identification, analysis, and decision making at all levels. Information Systems professionals possess the ability to analyze the ever-evolving role of database processes and create systems that are user friendly throughout the organizational structure.

- Select three electives from among: CIS 556, CIS 601, CIS 602, CIS 615, CIS 627, CIS 636, CIS 645 or CIS 545, CIS 660, CIS 685 or CIS 506.
MBA International Business Concentration
Globalization has increased the need for individuals with specialized knowledge and skills to manage multicultural and multinational workforces effectively in a rapidly-changing environment. The MBA International Business concentration was developed to provide those individuals the opportunity to study in a program specifically designed for their needs.

MBA Professional Concentration
The MBA Professional Concentration is available for those who want a comprehensive knowledge of business administration. Its goal is to provide students with the skills necessary to function effectively in upper management positions. As a decision oriented program, courses focus on key aspects of up-to-date management theories and practices while preparing graduates for leadership roles in business, industry, government and social service.

MBA Project Management Concentration
The MBA Project Management concentration focuses on the development of content knowledge and organizational skills in project management methodologies that are critical in business environments. Students will develop an in-depth knowledge base of the Project Management Institute's (PMI®) nine Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK®) areas and activities associated with each of the stages of the project management lifecycle. In addition, students will build a comprehensive understanding of factors leading to the successful interaction between project management and organizational processes comprising critical success factors for the enterprise. Project management professionals possess the interpersonal and organizational skills necessary to serve successfully as change agents in the constantly evolving global business environment.

Enterprise Resource Planning Systems using SAP
The ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) Systems using SAP concentration focuses on knowledge acquisition in enterprise resource planning software and skills development in a wide range of enterprise applications areas offered by SAP, the global market leader in enterprise software solutions for business. SAP, which stands for "Systems, Applications, and Products in Data Processing," is a global company with a roster of over 100,000 worldwide customers. SAP software currently supports 11 lines of business providing companies with integrated software applications solutions on an enterprise-wide basis. Students completing the MBA ERP Systems using SAP Concentration will be well prepared for professional positions involving enterprise applications responsibilities in organizations.
