MBA Learning Goals
The Learning Goals for the MBA program are driven by the College of Business's mission statement which is to "prepare students to become successful professionals capable of leading organizations in a diverse, dynamic global economic environment."
TRADITIONAL MBA
Students graduating from the Traditional MBA program are expected to achieve each of the following Program Learning Goals:Goal 1: To be able to communicate effectively at a management level in a professional business organization.
Goal 2: To be able to work effectively in a team environment and provide leadership skills to add value to the organization.
Goal 3: To be able to understand the professional and ethical expectations for managers and the importance of meeting these expectations.
Goal 4: To be prepared to function effectively at a management level in a diverse, dynamic global economic environment.
Goal 5: To be able to synthesize knowledge across the disciplines to identify, analyze and solve ambiguous business problems and make effective decisions.
EXECUTIVE MBA OPTION
Students graduating from the Executive MBA option are expected to achieve each of the following Program Learning Goals:Goal 1: To be able to communicate effectively at a management level in a professional business organization.
Goal 2: To be able to work effectively in a team environment and to demonstrate leadership, mentoring, and coaching skills.
Goal 3: To be able to understand the professional and ethical expectations for managers and the importance of meeting these expectations.
Goal 4: To be prepared to function effectively at a management level in a diverse, dynamic global economic environment.
Goal 5: To be able to synthesize knowledge across the disciplines to identify, analyze and solve ambiguous business problems and make effective decisions.
Goal 6: To be able to conduct applied research directed at an organizational problem or opportunity.
