The University of North Alabama has a long tradition of prominence in teacher preparation. Our degree programs provide training for students who wish to pursue careers in the fields of vocal/choral and instrumental music education. Students in those degree programs enroll as music majors in either Choral Music P-12 or Instrumental Music P-12; when they reach sophomore standing, they apply for acceptance into the teacher education program. These students earn majors in both music and secondary education.
UNA is proud of its many graduates who are now serving as highly successful band directors and choral directors throughout the state and region.
