COURSE DESCRIPTION:

This comprehensive 40-hour course is designed for crime scene investigators, detectives, crime laboratory analysts and others in the field of forensic science that have the basic training and skills for crime scene examinations.  This course will assist you in connecting all of the forensic pieces for the purpose of crime scene reconstruction.

A crime scene is a huge puzzle, and piece by piece we compile the physical evidence in each case.  The more difficult job is to try and connect those pieces to obtain the big picture, the scene reconstruction.  This course will also assist in the documentation of physical evidence at the scene which you previous might not have recorded in past cases.

Mock scenes for this course were designed to assist the student in the importance of scene documentation, and to obtain the maximum and correct information for ultimate scene reconstruction.

What to bring to the course:

Casual attire and a digital camera with macro capabilities are preferred; however 35mm camera may be used.  Laptop computer for your courtroom presentations would be highly recommended.
