Injured/Downed Officer Rescues 

   The North Alabama Law Enforcement Training Center will host an Injured/Downed Officer Rescues Course on September 8, 2009.  The course has been approved for 8 hours of CEU Credits. 

   Tuition for the course is $50.00 per participants.  Tuition for the course will include refreshments, hand-outs, manuals, etc.   Class size is limited to 12 participants.

****A One Week Cancellation notice must be given for the above class, or the participant and/or department will be charged the full amount****. 

   This course is designed for patrol level up to tactical operations.

Topics that will be covered are:

Rescues from a structure

Deployment of a Ballistic Shield during rescues

4-man Diamond formation rescue

One vehicle rescues

Two vehicle rescues

Each participant needs to bring the following:

Handgun (No ammunition will be needed)

Duty belt with holster or tactical belt with holster

Body armor

Hydration system (Camelback or canteen)

Flashlight with extra batteries

Eye Protection

Note taking material

Participants should bring an older patrol car with working overhead lights.

Optional Equipment:

Elbow and Knee Pads

Sunscreen

Hat

Rain Equipment

Other equipment used on patrol
