Patrol Rifle for the Law Enforcement Officer Level 2 Course

 

   The North Alabama Law Enforcement Training Center will host an 8 hour Patrol Rifle for the Law Enforcement Officer Level 2 Course on, November 17, 2009. 

 

Class will begin at 8:00 AM.  Cost of the Course is $60.00 per participant.  Tuition for the course will include refreshments, hand-outs, manuals, CDs. 

 

Class size is limited to 10 participants.  Registration can be made online at www.una.edu/naletc ****A One Week Cancellation notice must be given for the above class, or the participant and/or department will be charged the full amount****. 

 

 

******Each participant must have completed the BASIC AR-15 FOR THE LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER COURSES, Patrol Rifle for the L.E. Officer Level 1,  or the BASIC TAC CARBINE FOR THE LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER COURSE to attend this course*********** 

Topics that will be covered include:

Deployment of with Ballistic Shields (Shields will be provided)

One hand operation of the Patrol Rifle                  

Strong/weak hand operation

Transition Drills                                       

Injured officer Deployment with Patrol Rifle

Shoot-Don’t Shoot Practical Exercises

           
Each participants needs to bring:

Patrol Rifle (.9mm, .40 S&W, .223, .10mm, .45ACP, 7.62 x 39)

Minimum of three magazines for the Patrol Rifle

300 rds of Ammunition for Patrol Rifle

Sling  **MANDATORY**  3 point or 1 point sling recommended)

Handgun with three magazines

100 rds of Ammunition for handgun

Duty belt with holster/ or tactical holster

Hearing/eye protection

Hat

Body Armor (Tactical or Concealable) **MANDATORY** 

Note taking material

 

Optional equipment:
Hydration Equipment (canteen/ Camelback)                  Kevlar Helmet

Knee/Elbow Pads                                                            Rain Gear

Other tactical equipment normally utilized
