Traditional BSN Accelerated Alternative


  • Designed for individuals with a Bachelors degree from an accredited University in any discipline, except Nursing
  • A 15 month program beginning May Intersession each year
  • Same pre requisites as the Traditional BSN Option

Admissions Requirement

  • Acceptance to UNA
  • Traditional BSN admissions requirements with the exception of the ACT score and PLUS
  • Evidence of a 3.0 GPA in either the first degree or on the completed pre requisite courses

How to begin? Follow the steps below to get started!

  1. Apply to the UNA and declare nursing as your major
  2. Have transcripts from first degree sent to the UNA registrar’s office
  3. You must be accepted to the UNA to be eligible for application
  4. Once accepted to UNA you will be assigned to a nursing advisor
  5. Once assigned an advisor, make an appointment to meet with or talk with your advisor who will assist you in determining your eligibility for application to the Accelerated BSN Option.
  6. Successfully complete pre requisite courses
  7. Apply to the Accelerated BSN Option

Tuition & Fees

  • In addition to the UNA tuition and fees schedule found on the UNA website, there are additional fees for specific nursing courses in each semester of the program. Please see specific courses of instruction in the UNA Catalog.
