FLORENCE, Ala.— The University of North Alabama announces that the following faculty members have been promoted as of March 1:

Dr. Wendy Darby, College of Nursing, associate professor
Lisa Darnell, College of Arts and Sciences, assistant professor
Dr. Ruth Dumas, College of Education, professor
Dr. Robert Garfrerick, College of Arts and Sciences, professor
Dr. Lisa Keys-Mathews, College of Arts and Sciences, associate professor
Dr. Brett King, College of Business, professor
Dr. Christopher Maynard, College of Arts and Sciences, associate professor

“We are very proud of our faculty who earned promotion this year, and we are pleased with the number of promotions,” said Dr. Garry Warren, vice president for academic affairs and provost at UNA. “A review of the records since 1999-2000 indicates that the 18 promotions given this year are the most to occur within a year. Also, of those applying for promotion, 69 percent is the largest percentage promoted in a given year.”
