FLORENCE, Ala.— The University of Alabama’s Athletic Director Mark Linder will be speaking at the weekly meeting Florence Kiwanis Club May 9 at noon. The meeting will be held at the Marriott Shoals Conference Center in Florence.
Linder began his role as UNA’s athletic director in August. He was instrumental in developing the new Credit Union Ticket Program (CUTiP) this past winter. The program partners with local credit unions to create a voucher system that allows area children age 13 and under to attend UNA athletic events at no cost. Since Linder was hired at UNA, the athletics program has begun exploring ways to become an engaged community partner, starting with CUTiP.
He will discuss this program, as well as the ideas he has for the future of UNA Athletics, at the meeting. He will also take questions from those in attendance.
The meal cost is $10, and all Kiwanis members, media and guests are invited.
