UNA MUSIC CAMP BEGINS IN JUNE

FLORENCE, Ala. — The University of North Alabama’s music department is sponsoring a summer music camp for strings and piano June 9-13.

The Florence Summer Music Camp is open to string instrument players at all levels and pianists from sixth grade and up who have studied piano for at least two years. Costs for the weeklong program are $175 for general participation and $100 for beginning string participants.

Scheduled activities for the week include chamber ensemble lessons, master classes, theory classes, music literature classes, orchestra rehearsals and individual practice time, as well as private lessons and performance opportunities. Activities will last each day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will take place in the UNA Music Building.

The camp will conclude with a faculty concert June 12 and a student concert June 13. Both concerts are scheduled to take place in the UNA New Recital Hall.
