UNA BRASS ENSEMBLE PRESENTS ‘CLASSICALLY JAZZY II’ CONCERT OCT. 7

FLORENCE, Ala. — The Department of Music’s brass ensemble at the University of North Alabama presents ‘Classically Jazzy II’ on Oct. 7 at 7 p.m. in Norton Auditorium. Admission is free.

“‘Classically Jazzy II’ is certain to be an exciting concert for the participants as well as the members of the audience,” said Dr. Eddie Elsey Jr., instructor of low brass at UNA.

Elsey will conduct the program. Area high school students from Shoals Christian Academy as well as Florence, Deshler, Brooks and Lexington high schools will also perform with the brass ensemble.

Special guest performers include Dr. Deanna Swoboda, a University of West Michigan tuba/euphonium professor, and David Steinmeyer, professional trombonist from Jacksonville, Fla.

The event is sponsored by the Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia in partnership with the UNA Office of Student Engagement.
