FLORENCE CAMERATA PRESENTS ‘AMERICA SINGS’

FLORENCE, Ala. — The Florence Camerata community chorus will present “America Sings” Oct. 7 at 7:30 p.m.

The program, directed by University of North Alabama director of choral activities Dr. Ian Loeppky, will feature a variety of American choral music classics, including works by Barber, Copland and Thompson, as well as newer works such as “Basin Street Blues” and “John the Revelator.”

The performance will take place at the First Presbyterian Church in Florence, located at 224 East Mobile St. Admission is $10 for adults and $7 for students.
