UNA HOSTS CANDIDATE FORUM WITH PARKER GRIFFITH AND WAYNE PARKER OCT. 9

FLORENCE, Ala. — The University of North Alabama Women’s Center, American Association of University Women of the Shoals, College Democrats and College Republicans will sponsor a candidate forum at 7 p.m. Oct. 9 in the University Performance Center.
The forum will feature Republican candidate Wayne Parker and Democratic candidate Parker Griffith, running for Alabama’s 5th Congressional District. The candidates will address the audience independently, followed by a brief question-and-answer session in which the candidates will take audience questions. There will be a reception following the candidate forum where guests will have an opportunity to meet the candidates.
“This is a chance for UNA and the community to come together,” said Dr. Anna Lott, English professor and Coordinator of Women’s Studies at UNA. “We are just really excited to have the campus and the community work together on this endeavor.”
The event is free and open to the public.
