WARD TO PRESENT ‘MARCO POLO WAS RIGHT’ AT INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION WEEK

FLORENCE, Ala. — The University of North Alabama’s celebration of International Education Week 2008 next week will include a highlight event for the public on Thursday. Dr. Evan Ward, director of the Center for International Programs, will present a keynote address, “Why Marco Polo Was Right: The Asia Initiative,” at 11 a.m. in the Guillot University Center Banquet Hall C. The event is free and open to the public.

International Education Week 2008 is a joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education to celebrate the benefits of international education, promote programs that prepare Americans for a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn and exchange experiences in the United States.
