Kilby Child Development Center Accepting Applications for Pre-K Class Jan. 10-Feb. 7

FLORENCE, Ala. – The Kilby Child Development Center will accept applications for the 2013-14 Alabama Office of School Readiness pre-kindergarten class Jan. 10-Feb. 7 from noon to 3 each weekday at Kilby. Kilby is located at 611 N. Pine Street in Florence.

Application is open to children who will be 4 years old by Sept. 1. When applying, parents or guardians must show a copy of the child’s original birth certificate, a copy of the child’s Social Security card, the child’s up-to-date blue slip or certificate of immunization and proof of Alabama residency.

Class selection will be based on promotion and a lottery system. The lottery drawing will be held at the Kilby Child Development Center at 2 p.m. Feb. 8.
