UNA Business Students Bring Home Top Awards From Phi Beta Lambda State Conference

FLORENCE, Ala. – The University of North Alabama’s chapter of Phi Beta Lambda recently brought home several awards from the Alabama state competition in Birmingham, with each of the 17 UNA students placing in the state’s top three in at least one of their two events. Fourteen of the competitors have qualified to compete at the National Phi Beta Lambda Competitions in Anaheim, Calif., this June.

Amy Gresham – First place in Business Communication
Jerrod Terry – First place in both Computer Applications and Information Management
Joshua Butler – First place in Computer Concepts
Jacob Tober – First place in Economic Analysis and Decision Making
Thomas Whitten – First place in both Impromptu Speaking and Job Interview
Melissa Love and Marvin Wehl – First place in Network Design
Chris Wendt – First place in Statistical Analysis
Darya Martin – Second place in Accounting Analysis and Decision Making
