FLORENCE, Ala. – The University of North Alabama’s own Autumn McMunn will present at a national math conference this week.  McMunn will travel to Portland, Oregon, to present her research at the Mathematical Association of America.  Currently a senior at UNA, McMunn will discuss her work titled, “Determining the effectiveness of peer-led supplemental instruction.”

McMunn worked all of last year with Dr. Ashley Johnson to analyze data gathered through UNA’s mathematics department’s new Mathematics Fellows Program.  Funding for McMunn’s work and trip to present was provided locally by QEP, the UNA Honors Program and the Mathematical Association of America.

McMunn is originally from Ardmore, Alabama.  She’s currently student teaching and plans to participate in Teach for America after graduation.
