Grants
The University of North Alabama participates in both
the Federal Pell Grant and Supplemental Educational
Opportunity Grant programs, in addition to the
Alabama Student Assistance Program (ASAP).
Some students may qualify for a National SMART
Grant
(National Science
& Mathematics Access to Retain Talent Grant)
or an Academic Competitiveness Grant. General
information about these programs is included in the
Student Guide, available in paper-print upon request
to UNA Student Financial Services or on-line at the
US Dept of Education's web site.

Application.
To be considered for any grant program
at UNA, file the
FAFSA first.
Grant Amounts.
All
FAFSA
applicants are automatically considered for all
grants and awarded the maximum amount of Pell
according to the federal payment schedule. Standard
award amounts for SEOG and ASAP are $300/year for
2007-2008. Students must be eligible for a Pell
Grant in order to receive SEOG or ASAP. Both SEOG
and ASAP are limited funds.
