Endowed Scholarships

UNA is honored to offer over 200 Endowed Scholarship awards each

year.  Find your student category below to learn the best way for you to be

      considered for these Endowed Scholarships.

You may view an ALPHABETICAL INDEX or a MAJOR SPECIFIC

INDEX of all Endowed Scholarships along with brief descriptions.

There is a general application for most endowed scholarships.  By

completing and submitting THIS APPLICATION, you will be

considered for all applicable Endowed Scholarships.  Apply

for admission by February 1, 2008 to be considered for the 2008-09

academic year. If additional application or information is required, it

     will be specified.

  • Continuing UNA Students.  If you will be continuing your studies at UNA during the 2008-2009 academic year, you may apply for certain endowed scholarships.

    • Major-Specific.  Most Endowed Scholarships are awarded by a University Scholarship Committee or UNA academic department.   Scroll through the ALPHABETIC or MAJOR index for descriptions and details on each scholarship.

    • General.  Some Endowed Scholarships are of a general nature and are open to all students.  You may also apply for these awards using the GENERAL ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION.  Please apply by February 1, 2008.

  • Incoming Freshmen and Transfer Students.  You are automatically considered for a number of Endowed Scholarships based on your application for admission to UNA.  Separate forms are not required.  Apply for admission by February 1, 2008 to be considered for the 2008-09 academic year.  For more information on these scholarships, you may contact the Admissions Office at (256) 765-4608.

  •       Dream Scholarship Students who meet the normal requirements for enrollment at UNA are eligible for the award if they meet one of the following requirements:  Neither parent completed a baccalaureate degree, or the student resides in the home of a single parent who did not complete a baccalaureate degree.  Please complete this application no later than February 1, 2008.  If you are unable to print the application, you may contact the Student Financial Services office and we will provide you with an application.

Not all of these Endowed Scholarships are awarded each year.  The amount of

each scholarship varies.  Each scholarship is awarded for one academic year.
