INTERFRATERNITY COUNCIL (IFC)
The Interfraternaity Council is the governing body for the
UNA fraternities with the NIC. It serves as the official link
between the individual chapters and the university administration.
The IFC is composed of all chapters presidents, one representative
for each chapter and elected officers. The goal of the IFC
is to promote cooperation and common brotherhood among the
chapters. The IFC encourages academic standards, community
service, and campus involvement by each group.
NATIONAL PANHELLENIC COUNCIL (NPHC)
The National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) is the governing
body of the historically African-American fraternities and
sororities at UNA. The council comes together in the name
of unity, programming community service, and the scholastic
enhancement of the members of the African-American Greek system
at UNA.
ORDER OF OMEGA
Students who have attained high standards of scholarship in
inter-Greek activities are recognized in the Order of Omega.
Qualifications for membership include character, scholarship,
service and leadership in inter-Greek affairs, one academic
year at UNA and at least junior academic standing. Applications are available durning the Spring semester.
PANHELLENIC COUNCIL
The Panhellenic Council is the governing body of the sororities
affiliated with the NPC. Delegates of each sorority chapter
affiliated with UNA compose the membership of the Panhellenic
Council. The purpose of the council is to promote Greek unity,
scholarship and high standards, and establish rules governing
recruitment, new member education, and initiation on campus.
