Fragile, delusional southern belle Blanche DuBois moves to New Orleans to live with her sister, Stella, and her brutish brother-in-law, Stanley Kowalski, in a dingy apartment. Temperaments clash, fireworks fly, and secrets are revealed in Tennessee Williams’ Pulitzer Prize-winning drama.

The UNA Summer Theatre production of A Streetcar Named Desire is being directed by two-time Tony Award nominated director Randal Myler, who has directed at numerous theaters in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, and other locations. Myler has written several musicals, including It Ain’t Nothin’ but the Blues; Love, Janis; and Hank Williams: Lost Highway.

Professional actors appearing in the production will be Myk Watford, star of Broadway and the blockbuster film No Country for Old Men, as Stanley; Elaine Hendrix, star of Disney’s The Parent Trap, as Blanche; and UNA theatre faculty Charlton James as Mitch.
