Professional Development in Writing Across the Curriculum & Writing in the Disciplines
The Center for Writing Excellence provides faculty support for Writing Across the Curriculum (WAC) and Writing in the Disciplines (WID). This includes any aspect of writing in a course, whether planning writing assignments or collaborative writing activities, designing assignment rubrics, or simply engaging faculty in brainstorming sessions.
WAC / WID workshops are held monthly February-April and September-November, and are open to all faculty members. Workshops are also available to small groups of colleagues who may not be able to attend the scheduled meeting, and are available for presentation at departmental meetings. To schedule a WAC / WID Workshop for your department or for your faculty discussion group, contact the Center for Writing Excellence Director.
