Career Center Operations in Response to COVID-19

UNA Campus

With respect to Center for Disease Control, Alabama Department of Public Health, and the National Institutes of Health, it is imperative to support social distancing efforts in a clear manner to protect the health of our campus and local community.  As such, some University Operations, including those within the Career Center have been amended.  

Please know that your experience at UNA is of the utmost importance to us and this decision was not made lightly.  The goal of the Career Center is to continue to provide students with excellent, uninterrputed services despite the limitations on personal contact.  To assist us with this goal, please stay in touch and continue to utilize our services.  We will sucessfully navigate this journey together as we all look forward to that point in the future when UNA will return to normal operations.

During the alternative operation plan set out by UNA in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Career Center staff will be working remotely away from campus.  Regardless, Career Center services will continue to be available through email, telephone, and virtual communcations.  Don't hesitate to reach out and schedule an appointment.  We have made this transition smoothly.  If you have never utilized the video features of Mircosoft Teams, please check into it.  We have discovered the application to be a valuable resource to faciliate timely interactions with students.

Please call or email the Career Center to schedule a meeting time.  Meetings are conducted via telephone or through the virtual application Microsoft Teams (to establish communcation with someone in this application, you simply use the person's UNA email address).  Prior to your meeting, it will be benefical to complete the assessments that are available on the the Career Center website.

All current campus based career fairs have been suspended indefinitely.  Regardless, the Career Center is currently exploring and developing alternatives so that students will continue to have the ability to interact with potential employers.
