NIOSH Scholarships

Criteria to remain qualified
  • Make satisfactory progress toward graduation with a major in occupational health science
  • Enroll in at least one chemistry or occupational health science course for both fall and spring semesters
  • Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 in all occupational health science courses
  • Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.7 in all courses
  • Participate actively in the UNA Occupational Health Science Student Association

The Occupational Health Science Program is a recipient of a Training Project Grant (TPG) from the National Institute of Occupational Health and Safety (NIOSH). The student support provided by this grant consists of academic scholarships and the funding of student academic activities. Currently, this grant provides for several scholarships that are awarded for a one-year period and are renewable for up to four years.

All Chemistry and Occupational Health Science Endowed Scholarships and NIOSH scholarships are applied for through the Office of Student Financial Services. The Department has 12 endowed scholarships:

  • NIOSH Scholarship
