These are the required classes for the major in Communication Arts with a Public Communication emphasis: 

Students should take COM 210 Business and Professional Speech instead of COM 201 in Communication Arts core.

COM 350 Argumentation & Debate


Choose either:

COM 330 Group Communication
COM 440 Organizational Communication

Choose at least two additional three-credit COM electives from among 300/400-level department offerings. 6
Total:  21

All students in this area will earn a degree in Communication Arts with Public Communication as the student's primary area of study.

A minor is not required, but students are encouraged to select a minor to support their major course of study. Talk with you advisor or the department chair for more explanation.
