UServe is an interactive, monthly program that incorporates education, training, service, and reflection to create dynamic social change. Each month focuses on the social challenges that exist today and connects with local agencies and organizations that work with those specific topics to help provide a better understanding and experience. 

October: Shoals Dream Center

Shoals Dream Center exists to make an impact throughout Northwest Alabama by being a hub of practical help and life-giving hope to families. Here, donors and supporters are given the opportunity to make a direct impact in their neighbors’ lives through the provision of food, resources, programs and mentoring for at-risk kids, addiction recovery resources, and life skills training.

    Where: Shoals Dream Center (transportation available if needed)

November: The Pantry at UNA

The Pantry is a free UNA resource designed to support the basic needs of the UNA community and raise awareness about the growing issue of food insecurity across campus.

    When: 5:00pm
    Where: Mattielou Hall

    The Housing and Residence Life community dinner will follow this portion of UServe. Donations to the campus pantry are encouraged, but not required.
