Evaluation and Selection Process
All applications are initially reviewed by the Vice President of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, Provost, academic deans, and department chair committee. Candidates selected will be invited for an interview. Interviews take place during spring semester/summer semester, and applicants are expected to be present for an interview.
Throughout the process, applicants are evaluated based on the following criteria. All are used in the evaluation and finalist typically meet most criteria:
- Evidence of scholarly research, teaching and service
- Evidence of scholarly and/or research achievement which may include but is not limited to: papers, book, chapters, review articles, presentations, recitals, lectures, conference talks, awards, or honors
- Significant internal and external leadership roles, outreach, and interdisciplinary activity
- High academic achievement
