Staff Resources
The Staff Resource Center plays an integral role at the University, supporting vital services and functions including student advisement, facilities maintenance/grounds, and support with administrative processes.
The Office of DEI is pleased to release resources to assist staff with search committees in non-academic and administrative professional searches, along with helpful information to add to your toolkit.
Decisions regarding staff hires are among the most important a university makes. As an equal employment opportunity/affirmative action employer, UNA seeks to identify, attract, recruit, and retain talented, world-class, distinctive, and diverse staff across all departments and non-academic units.
At UNA, the staff recruitment process is a collaborative effort between the Division of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, Academic Affairs, Academic Colleges, Non-Academic Departments/Unities and Human Resources. Each has responsibility to ensure adherence to the University’s Equal Opportunity and Discriminatory Harassment Policy.
DEI has the responsibility of monitoring and coordinating the recruitment process to ensure compliance with search procedures, university policies, and legal and regulatory requirements.
The hiring manager has the responsibility of administrator, director, and search committees in identifying and recruiting outstanding staff.
Our team members provide training, advise search committees on recruitment strategies, equitable search practices, and respond to questions that may arise during the recruitment process.
